What travel guides are Aussies buying?

Europe, Vietnam and the USA have been revealed as the top destinations for Australian travel this year by book sales through Australian bookseller Dymocks.

Lonely Planet’s Europe on a Shoestring remains Australia’s favourite travel guide, with LP’s Vietnam guide book in second place, closely followed by its guide to the USA.

National buying manager, Sophie Higgins, confirmed travel as its best performing category, with continuous growth over the last three years.

“While Australians have always loved to travel, the recent strong dollar has increased the accessibility for us to travel abroad and Dymocks’ guide book sales, particularly for New York , Vietnam and Paris, have certainly reflected these travel trends,” she said.
