The votes are in – 2014 NTIA finalists revealed
The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) has revealed the National Travel Industry Award finalists for 2014, with just under two months to go until the the winners are named at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.
The highest-ranked nominees in 34 categories were selected during a one month polling period.
AFTA chief executive Jayson Westbury congratulated all of the nominees and the finalists, and thanked the industry for its support.
“NTIA continues to grow in its support and clearly provides a great value to all involved. It is the single biggest event of the travel industry across all brands and AFTA is committed to bringing this significant event to the industry for the industry,” he said.
“There is no greater recognition than that of your peers and finalists should be very proud of their achievement. Those finalists that sit within a judged category now have a job ahead to put their best foot forward before the esteemed panel of judges that we have assembled this year.”
The next phase of the process will see nine judges divided into three panels of three to conduct more than 80 face to face interviews.
The winners will be named on Saturday July 19 at the sell-out event, with AFTA promising “even more surprises” this year than before.
Qantas is the major sponsor of the 2014 NTIA, with the after party sponsored by Singapore Airlines.
