QantasLink sets off for snow
By admin

QantasLink's seasonal service from Sydney to Mount Hotham took to the skies yesterday, transporting ski enthusiasts to the snow as the season gets underway.

The direct route represents the only air services to an alpine resort in Australia, with the carrier consequently branding Mount Hotham the "most accessible" ski resort in the country.

"With the snow starting to fall at Mount Hotham, we are seeing a big jump in people booking flights to make the most of the snow season, particularly from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide," Qantas executive manager Steve Limbrick said.

"Our direct flights from Sydney provide fly-in fly-out convenience not offered at any other Australian alpine resort."

QantasLink has serviced the region for more than 10 years, and this year will operate 88 flights on the route until September 8.
