Qantas and Disney partner for sky high movie premiere
By admin

The first ever world premiere at 30,000 feet took place at the weekend, with Qantas and Disney launching the family animated feature Planes aboard a Qantas flight.

The event took place on board a Qantas Boeing 767 emblazoned with a special Planes livery and was attended by a host of celebrities.

Guests watched the new movie on iPads as they tucked into ice cream and popcorn.

“As a parent, it’s magical to see the kids’ faces light up as they watch Disney's Planes on a Qantas 767 while soaring above Australia,” Walt Disney Company Australia managing director John Cracknell said.

“Meanwhile, Qantas group executive brand, marketing and corporate affairs, Olivia Wirth, said the airline was thrilled with the success of the event.

“Today’s premiere was a hit with our younger passengers and their parents,” she said.

“I’m sure Disney’s Planes will be a very popular choice when it airs on Qantas’ inflight entertainment system from October.”
