Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) and Air Vanuatu have launched a new competition to promote the destination as ideal for couples.

The It Takes Two campaign, in partnership with Creative Holidays, Holiday Specialists and Air Vanuatu Holidays, is offering Australian residents the chance to win a couples’ break to Port Vila and beyond by simply submitting a two word entry – with the first stating how they feel before their Vanuatu escape and the second how they will feel afterwards.

Hosted on the micro-site www.ittakestwo.travel, it will be promoted via electronic direct marketing, traditional and social media advertising.

The Formule 1 hotel on William Street in Sydney’s Kings Cross has rebranded to Ibis Budget East Sydney, becoming the 18th Formule 1 hotel to join growing portfolio under Accor’s Ibis megabrand strategy.

Singapore Airlines has expanded its codeshare agreement with Star Alliance partner Scandinavian Airlines with the deal extended to SAS-operated flights from Copenhagen to Berlin and Hamburg in Germany, Palanga and Vilnius in Lithuania, and Gdansk, Poznan, Warsaw and Wroclaw in Poland.

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has confirmed a new agreement with specialist reseach provider MyTravelResearch.com.

Under the two-year “preferred partnership”, the two parties will collaborate on the development of accessible insights to drive growth of the visitor economy to and within the region.
