Destination Port Stephens will run two customer service training workshops for local businesses this month to combat the summer holiday period.

Run by Naomi Farrelly the workshops will be held in Nelson Bay on October 15 and October 22. Open to all businesses in Port Stephens the workshop will assist them in maintaining a high quality of service

Janelle Gardner from Destination Port Stephens said the training course would help equip any local business with the tools needed to cope with the summer holiday rush in Port Stephens.

 

Best Western hotel owner, Paul Hodda invites guests to donate money towards a disadvantaged community living 400km south-east of Vientiane in order to reach the $30,000 target. 

Hodda, who recently visited the area expressed the extra funding will significantly improve the standard of living for a group of 50 children.

“With help from Best Western and guest donations, we’ve raised about $27,000 for these kids in Laos. It’s just short of the amount we need before year’s end.” Hodda said.

Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and Emirates Airline has announced that Real Madrid will face AC Milan in the ‘Dubai Football Challenge.’

Taking place on December 30, the two Emirates Airline sponsored clubs will play in front of a crowd of 40,000.

Tickets are on sale now at Virgin Megastore and Time Out outlets, and are expected to sell out in record time.

The final two shows for the Visit USA Nationwide Expos will be held on October 21 and October 22, on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

The expos offer the chance to meet with representatives from tourist offices, hotels, airlines and attractions and find out what’s new in the USA to share with their clientele.

There will be prize giveaways, including one return airfare to LA thanks to Fiji Airways, and entertainment on the night as well as refreshments.
