CLIA reveals Cruise Awards finalists
The finalists for the Cruise Lines International Association 2013 Cruise Awards have been revealed with just weeks to go until the cruise industry night of nights.
More than 400 industry members will attend the sell-out awards dinner at Sydney’s new Doltone House on Hyde Park on Saturday February 8 which will be the first time the event has been held under the CLIA banner.
The evening will see 14 awards across six categories awarded to cruise specialist agents from across Australia and New Zealand.
“All the finalists played an important part in making 2013 a prosperous year for cruising down under and these awards are a great way for the cruise industry to applaud their efforts,” CLIA Australasia general manager Brett Jardine said.
Sportscaster Hamish McLachlan will MC the event for the first time, joined by actress Melanie Vallejo of Winners & Losers game.
Emirates will be the new Platinum Sponsor of the event, with Carnival Australia and Royal Caribbean as gold sponsors. Silver sponsors will include Avalon Waterways, Tauck River Cruising, Cruise Passenger magazine and Cruise Baltic.
This year will also see the first ever official after party, sponsored by travel technology firm TravelTek.
