APT treats top agents to Kimberley adventure
By admin

A group of top performing APT travel agents and their guests were recently treated to a trip exploring the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

The 11-day Kimberley Wilderness Adventure started in Broome and ended in Kununurra, with a special welcome dinner kicking things off at Broome’s iconic Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa.

The following morning, guests hopped on board the APT four-wheel drive outback vehicles, which transported them along the Gibb River Road for the 660km journey to Kununurra.

Highlights of the journey included visiting Bell Gorge, Cathedral Gorge and Galvans Gorge, enjoying a helicopter ride over Mitchell Falls, visiting Wandjina and Bradshaw art, hiking with Aboriginal guides to learn about the local environment and culture, and driving through the mighty Bungle Bungle Range.

The agents also stayed at a variety of places, which included historic cattle properties such as Drysdale River Station and Home Valley Station, and APT Wilderness Lodges, that gave guests the change to camp in style.
