9 reasons agents choose this airline

What makes All Nippon Airways distinct from the other peas in the airline pod?

Well we have done some digging on the Japanese carrier and found some pretty darn good reasons agents send their clients on ANA, 9 to be precise.

And before you try and guess, trust us, these guys have pulled some rabbits out of the hat and are full of surprises.

  1. Did someone say baggage?!

Packing for travel can be a frustrating ordeal – especially when it comes to choosing which coat to pack and which shoes match that outfit.

Ensuring the weight of your luggage is within the airline requirements inevitably becomes one of travel’s main challenges. Flying with ANA will take a little bit of the stress out of it, as they’re one of the most generous airlines when it comes to baggage. See for yourself:

Premium Economy: 2 x 23kg

Business Class: 2 x 32kg

  1. Save your holidays!

Business and leisure travellers alike will appreciate ANA’s timely morning arrivals and evening departures.

ANA departs in the evening from Australia so you can head straight from the office and save that day of leave for a rainy day. They arrive in Tokyo in the early morning, making it super simple for travellers connecting to domestic flights or dashing off to business meetings.

Same deal on the way home too, FYI – fly home in the AM and save yet another day of leave by getting to the office on-time.

  1. VIP, darlings

You don’t have to be a First or Business class customer to get the VIP treatment. If all you can splurge for is Premium Economy, then you’ll still get exclusive access to ANA Business Class Lounges.

The exclusive services include shower facilities business/working areas, food and beverages and more. Tick.

  1. Beat the jetlag

Apart from struggling to sleep in an upright position, did you know there is some science behind why you get jetlag? It has to do with sounds, air and motion.

ANA’s Dreamliner is designed around ultimate comfort and minimising fatigue. For instance noise reduction, that ensures sounds of 85 decibels (levels of a city street) or higher are not heard. In addition, you get noise cancelling headphones if flying Premium Economy or Business Class.

The innovative aircraft also features a new filtration that has improved pressure and humidity levels to decrease dryness and fatigue, while its Smoother Ride Technology has sensors that cleverly detect and thwart turbulence.

  1. May the force be with you

Because we’re all big kids at heart, ANA operates a Star Wars themed 787-9 Dreamliner on its Tokyo/Haneda to Sydney flight path. The exterior is decorated with the R2-D2 character, while the interiors feature Star Wars themed napkins, headrest covers and cups.

And of course, six Star Wars films are available for passengers in the inflight entertainment system.

Line up now, folks, to get onboard the next available Star Wars plane because these beauties fly subject to rotation.

  1. Staff nicer than your mum

Yes, we know it’s a cliché, but my god the service on ANA is gold class. For four consecutive years, ANA has been named among the World’s Best Airport Services and Best Airline Staff in Asia in 2015 and 2016.

It even has a ‘Remote Sign-Language Interpretation Service’ at Haneda Airport to improve services for customers with hearing and speaking disabilities.

  1. Local mates in Sydney

ANA have an office located in Sydney, Australia. For agents, this means if you have a question, concern, or just fancy a chat, there’s no time zones to consider or long distance charges to blame on someone else.

You can simply call, chat, and get back to work. Say sayonara to lengthy waits on return information.

  1. Skip the traffic

Tokyo traffic

Hate the idea of adding an extra couple of hours to an already long flight? Commuting from an airport that’s further out of town is just as bad as flying into Melbourne’s Avalon airport.

Thankfully, ANA flies directly into Tokyo’s nearest airport, Haneda. This compares to many airlines that fly into the less conveniently located Narita Airport, 60km out of Tokyo.

  1. One of a kind

ANA_5Star

ANA is the only airline in Japan to be awarded the 5-star Skytrax airline rating, and just one of eight airlines worldwide to get this coveted title. Did we mention it’s won this for the past 5 consecutive years? Show offs…

The 5-star airline rating recognises the high standards of an airline’s products and staff services available to customers at the airport and onboard. That means it’s averaging 5 stars in its airport and onboard service, lounges, seats, meals, entertainment, cabin staff, comfort and onboard products. Phew, we’re out of breath now.
