4 Reasons to Pre-book Broadway Tickets

4 Reasons to Pre-book Broadway Tickets

New York City has forecasted for 59.7 million visitors to the city this year, and Broadway continues to top the list of “must-do” experiences for international visitors.

Last year alone, more than 13 million tickets for Broadway shows were sold.

Tickets to shows continue to sell out incredibly fast and as more shows shy away from offering discounts and last minute deals, we asked Kate Sorenson from Broadway Inbound to share with us the benefits of booking Broadway tickets in advance.

  • If you’re traveling from halfway across the globe, do you really want to spend precious hours waiting in a long line in Times Square (TKTS) and when you finally get to the front of the line, the show you wanted isn’t available anymore. And the “discount” is rarely what you expect – 50% off is not the norm these days.
  • There are a lot of show options on Broadway, and some of the more popular shows such as The Lion King, Wicked, and Book of Mormon are rarely going to be available at the last minute.  Buying in advance naturally increases show choices and has a chance for better seating.
  • You always here the cautionary tales of the buying tickets from scalpers.  This has never ended in a positive experience!  Tickets are often not valid and the markups are ridiculous.
  • Travellers to NYC often feel they never have enough time. With so much to see and do, pre-booking tickets to Broadway show will add value to your customers trip simply by taking the hassle out buying the tickets during their holiday, giving more time to explore the big apple.

To purchase tickets to any Broadway Collection show, book through your preferred wholesaler or contact Kate Sorenson or www.broadwaycollection.com for more information on the current season of Broadway musicals.

    1. was in NYC earlier this year. Previously, we had bought same day tickets from TKTS in Times Square, but they have gone to a hopeless electronic system, which only advertises % off. % off what ? The large % off prices referred to the very expensive tickets, not the cheaper tickets.
We wasted 30 mins with them & then went to the actual theatre. We should have prepurchased before we left home & avoided the stuffing around.
