AAT Kings and The Travel Corporation’s TreadRight Foundation continued its support of wildlife conservation in Australia by becoming major sponsors at the annual Steve Irwin Gala Dinner last weekend.

The glitzy sold-out fundraising event to celebrate the life and legacy of Steve Irwin also raised money from various auctions on the evening for Australia Zoo’s Wildlife Warriors project which supports koala rehabilitation at its in-house hospital – the country's largest and busiest wildlife facility.

AAT Kings and TreadRight over the past two years have donated over $48,000 to support Wildlife Warriors, which cares for nearly 800 koalas each year at an average cost of $1500 per marsupial.

“We're truly passionate about showcasing the very best of Australia to fellow Aussies and international visitors, however we feel that it's just as important to spend time educating and informing others about wildlife conservation,” AAT Kings.

To date, TreadRight has donated more US$2.5 million to sustainable tourism projects worldwide.
