Princess Cruises will expand its program in 2014, with the addition of new South American and South Pacific voyages.

Executive vice president Jan Swartz said sailings in the two regions were now among the cruise line's most popular itineraries.

Crown Princess will undertake a new South America grand adventure which will call in at Rio de Janeiro during Carnaval, sail around Cape Horn, with the cruise line's first call to Ilhabela and an optional overland tour to the Incan ruins at Machu Picchu.

The 49-day cruise departs Fort Lauderdale on February 15, 2014 priced from $5519.

Meanwhile, Pacific Princess will move to the South Pacific to operate three additional departures of Princess's signature Tahiti and French Polynesia voyages. The ship will also offer a new 16-day New Zealand and South Pacific sailing from Sydney to Tahiti, departing February 25, 2014 and priced from $2839.

Other new cruises include a 12-day Hawaii to Tahiti sailing and a 10-day Hawaiian islands crossing from Honolulu to Vancouver.

"These new voyages offer wonderful additional opportunities for passengers to explore the natural beauty and colourful cultures of these destinations," Swartz said.
