Changi Airport Group has announced the extension of its Changi Transit Program, which allows Australia travellers to enjoy facilities such as shops, spas and eateries for free when in transit at Singapore Changi Airport.

As part of the program, passengers travelling to or from Australia via Singapore, on Singapore Airlines or SilkAir flights, will continue to receive a S$40 Changi Dollar voucher per person to spend at the airport, with the end date scheduled for March 31 2015.

Uniworld has launched a new ‘Sip. Savour. Sail’ incentive, that gives one Australian-based travel agent the chance to win a boutique river cruise through France.

To enter, agents need to book any 2014 or 2015 Uniworld cruise between September 22 and October 31, with odds increasing with every booking made.

Uniworld is also offering a second prize of half a dozen bottles of Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque French Champagne valued at $1,000 and a $500 Restaurants of Australia Gift Card for third prize.

Air China today has celebrated 30 years as the first international airline to connect Australia with China, with the airline now operating 15 weekly services between the countries.

Air China hosted an event last Wednesday at the Regent Theatre to mark the occasion, with prominent Australian and Chinese government, business and tourism leaders in attendance.

Wendy Wu Tours has introduced a new layout for its range of 2015 brochures, featuring a local’s face on each cover, and the story behind the face located on the inside page.

The range has been designed to highlight standard inclusions and experiences of renowned tours, as well as deluxe holidays and cruising, escorted touring independent travel and stopover destination information.

Between September 29 and October 17 agents will have the chance to redeem a $20 Coles Myer voucher (on top of normal commission) for every passenger deposited on a fully inclusive group tour or deluxe holiday departing in 2015.

Air Tahiti Nui has appointed Alan Roman as the general manager for Australia and New Zealand, with his experience as long serving Air New Zealand staffer.

Roman has worked with Air New Zealand in a range of positions, including managing operations in French Polynesia, Fiji, and Western Australia as well as market planning and performance manager and sales development manager.

Tigerair Australia is putting on additional services between Sydney and Melbourne this weekend to cater for the extra demand from Sydney-based fans to attend the AFL Grand Final on Saturday.

Tigerair flies up to nine services between the two cities daily, however this Saturday, the airline has put on sale two additional return services to allow fans to get to Melbourne and back in the same day.

Peregrine Adventures and Intrepid Travel have announced a two-for-one sale on expeditions to Antarctica when booked exclusively through the Intrepid Group.

For one week only, agents can book customers on select 2014 Antarctica voyages, allowing them to take a friend for free, with the offer available until close of business September 26.
