Scenic Tours go into the wild with the launch of their 2015 Africa program and a safari on Getaway.

The 2015 Africa program has an unrivalled collection of itineraries that travel to South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana and Tanzania. All internal flights in the 2015 program are now included in the price of the tour.

To coincide with the launch of the brochure, the Nine Network will be screening three full half hour episodes of Getaway covering Catriona Rowntree’s journey to Africa with Scenic Tours on 9, 16 and 23 August.

 

Best Western Australasia has reported a stellar year in sales and accelerated growth of its Best Western Rewards loyalty program.

The hotel group enjoyed a financial year-end increase of 24 %  in overall direct revenue, driven by GDS growth of 27% and internet sales exceeding 24%.

Best Western Australasia’s general manager of sales and marketing, Steve Richards said the sales results were the most successful in the group’s history, with corporate business and travel management companies delivering record revenue to hotels.

 

Accor Vacation Club has celebrated after winning four Industry Awards at the 23rd National Timeshare Awards, hosted by the peak body – Australian Timeshare and Holiday Owners Council (ATHOC), at the Gold Coast.

ATHOC general manager Laura Younger said, “With around one in every three hundred residents on the Gold Coast working within the industry, timeshare is a very important part of the Gold Coast Tourism Industry and economy in general.

 

Travelport announced it has increased its ownership stake in its eNett joint venture. Since the joint venture’s inception in June of 2009, Travelport has held a majority stake of 57% whilst its partner, PSP International held the remainder.

Travelport has elected to acquire an additional 16% from PSP International raising its holding to 73% in a transaction which values the eNett business at $450m.
