APT caters to Mekong demand with new ship

The ongoing popularity of APT’s program of Mekong River cruises has seen the luxury cruise operator invest in a second river ship to operate alongside the RV AmaLotus.

The 62-cabin AmaDara is scheduled to debut on August 2015.

“It’s due to continuing demand from our guests in Australia, New Zealand and the UK for the high APT standard of cruising on the Mekong River that we are able to build another luxury vessel,” general manager marketing and sales Debra Fox said.

“”With the addition of this new ship, APT will operate three shops on the Mekong in 2015: Travelmarvel’s La Marguerite, and APT’s AmaLotus and AmaDara.’

The program for the new vessel will be revealed later this year when APT unveils its 2015 Vietnam and Cambodia river cruise program.
