All you need to know about A&K’s new limited edition, small-group journeys
In lieu of the release of its 2020 collection of journeys, Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has unveiled several new luxury limited edition itineraries.
And, for a limited time, A&K is waiving the single supplement fee for the first two solo travellers booked on a select range of Limited Edition Small Group Journeys.
Solo travellers can save up to $5,250 for bookings made by 31 August 2019.
Here’s Travel Weekly’s rundown of all eight luxury journeys:
Surprising Zimbabwe
The 14-day Surprising Zimbabwe reveals some of the country’s untamed and less visited areas, including Gonarezhou National Park and UNESCO World Heritage listed Matobo Hills.
Highlights of the journey include taking part in black and white rhino tracking, visiting a San rock art gallery, gaining insights into the life of Cecil Rhodes, outstanding wildlife viewing, lunch at the Victoria Falls Hotel and sundowners on the Zambezi River. Prices are from $19,990 per person and maximum group size 16 guests.
Cape to Cairo
The epic 23-day Cape to Cairo traverses the African continent, with immersive encounters along the way. Wine and wildlife are a feature in South Africa, the thundering Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, big game on the savannah of the Masai Mara, while 5,000 years of history will kindle your clients’ passions in Cairo, along with a luxury Nile cruise. Prices are from $35,990 per person.
Tribes & Traditions of Ethiopia
Venturing further off the beaten track, the new 16-day Tribes & Traditions of Ethiopia showcases this rugged and mysterious country, visiting the source of the Blue Nile, the Simien Mountains region with its rare wildlife and breathtaking mountain scenery, extraordinary rock-hewn churches and fascinating encounters with the myriad tribal groups of the Omo Valley. Prices are from $13,995 per person.
Sacred Lands: Northern India & Nepal
On the subcontinent, the 17-day Sacred Lands: Northern India & Nepal takes in a sweep of fascinating places across the Gangetic plain including the holy city of Varanasi, Lucknow with its extraordinary architectural legacy and into neighbouring Nepal in search of tiger and rhino as well as jaw-dropping mountain scenery and ancient temples in Kathmandu. Prices are from $13,990 per person.
South Korea & Taiwan: Cultural Encounters
Two of Asia’s newly emerging destinations are included on the new 11-day South Korea & Taiwan: Cultural Encounters, with highlights of the journey including exciting street food, vibrant night markets, art treasures in Taipei and picturesque scenery. Prices are from $12,990 per person.

Turkey & Malta: Empires & Outposts
Moving to Europe, the 16-day Turkey & Malta: Empires & Outposts contrasts the history of two fascinating destinations. Malta has more historic sites within its compact shores than almost any other European country, while Turkey has an extraordinary ancient heritage.
See Baroque architecture in Valetta, visit a dairy farm in Gozo, explore rock-cut churches in Cappadocia, soak up Australia’s poignant war history at Gallipoli and discover the remarkable sights of Istanbul. Prices are from $17,990 per person.
Argentina: Bold & Beautiful
A striking new journey through Argentina, 12-day Argentina: Bold & Beautiful reveals the stylish elegance of Buenos Aires, its rich tango culture, Eva Peron’s legacy, as well as high-altitude vineyards in the north, and rugged landscapes and extraordinary wildlife in the Iberá wetlands. Brazil: A Cultural Odyssey
In neighbouring Brazil, your clients will see Rio de Janeiro from several perspectives on the 15-day Brazil: A Cultural Odyssey.
